Handicaps done properly

Enter each player’s GA Handicap Index. Daily handicaps are worked out for every course and tee from its slope and rating, with the right allowance for the format.

The draw in minutes

Build groups and tee times for each round, auto-balance them on handicap, or let the team games set who plays with who.

Reminders and messages

Nobody misses the bus.

Once they turn notifications on, every phone on the trip gets what it needs, when it needs it. Each player’s reminders are their own: their tee time, their group, their opponent.

  • A reminder 15, 30 or 60 minutes before each tee time, transfer, check-in and meal (each player picks)
  • A 7am morning brief: the day’s plan and the forecast
  • A heads-up when you change someone’s tee time or group

No App Store and no download. Add the trip in a few taps and it opens like an app: named after your trip, straight to the itinerary, the draw and your scorecard. The steps go out with the players’ link, so your mates have them too.

iPhone

  1. 1Open the trip link in Safari.
  2. 2Tap Share, the square with the arrow.
  3. 3Tap Add to Home Screen, then Add.
  4. 4Open the trip from your Home Screen and tap Turn on under Notifications.

Apple only sends notifications from web apps on the Home Screen, so do this first (iOS 16.4 or later).

Do my mates need to download an app or make an account?

No. They open the link you send, tap their name and they’re in. They can add it to their Home Screen so it opens like an app.

Do reminders work on iPhone?

Yes, on iOS 16.4 or later. Apple only allows them once the trip is on the Home Screen: open the link in Safari, tap Share, then Add to Home Screen, and turn notifications on from there. On Android they work straight from Chrome.

Which formats can we play?

Stableford, stroke play (gross or net), 4BBB Stableford and stroke, matchplay singles and fourball, Ambrose and two-person Ambrose. Each round can be different.

How are handicaps worked out?

From each player’s GA Handicap Index and the course’s slope and rating for the tees you’re playing, with Golf Australia’s recommended allowance for the format. You can change the allowance for any round.

What if there’s no reception on the course?

Keep scoring. Scores are saved on the phone and sent as soon as it’s back in range.

Can I try it before setting up my own trip?

Yes. The demo trip is a full three-day tour with live scores, a team cup, side games and settle-up. No sign-up needed.

Can more than one person run the trip?

Anyone you give the organiser link to can change the trip. Everyone else gets the players’ link, which lets them see everything and enter scores.
